Refund policy

At 9 Yards, every saree is curated with care and craftsmanship. We request customers to read the following policy carefully before placing an order.


1. Eligibility for Returns

Returns are accepted only under the following conditions:

  • The product received is damaged, defective, or incorrect

  • The issue is reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • The product is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition with tags intact

To raise a return request, customers must share clear images or videos of the issue for verification.


2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Bridal sarees and bridal collections

  • Customised or made-to-order products

  • Blouses (stitched or altered)

  • Discounted or sale items

  • Products showing signs of use, washing, or damage after delivery

Minor variations in colour, texture, or weave are natural characteristics of handloom products and are not considered defects.


3. Return Request Process

To request a return:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

  2. Share your order number, reason for return, and supporting images/videos

  3. Our team will review the request and respond within 2–3 business days

Approved returns will be arranged as per feasibility.


4. Refunds

  • Refunds are initiated only after quality inspection of the returned product

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method

  • Refund processing time: 7–10 business days after approval

  • Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable


5. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are allowed only for damaged or incorrect products

  • Subject to product availability

  • If the same product is unavailable, a refund or store credit may be offered at our discretion


6. Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled only before shipment

  • Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled

  • Customised, bridal, or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled after order confirmation


7. Refusal of Delivery

If an order is refused or returned due to:

  • Incorrect address

  • Customer unavailability

  • Failure to accept delivery

Any additional shipping or return charges will be borne by the customer.


8. Quality Disclaimer

Each saree is handcrafted and may carry slight irregularities that reflect its authenticity. Such variations are not defects and do not qualify for return or refund.


9. Policy Updates

9 Yards reserves the right to modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon being updated on the website.
